Airbus Helicopters business executive sees flat business in 2016



Airbus Helicopters expects business to stay flat this year once falling orders in 2015 as issues within the oil and gas sector still weigh down demand, the pinnacle of the unit of airliner cluster (AIR.PA), Guillaume Faury, same on weekday.

The world's biggest maker of civil helicopters saw deliveries drop to 395 in 2015 from 471 within the previous year, whereas orders fell to 383 from 402 in 2014, Faury told the company's annual press conference.

"We expect a really low level of orders for helicopters for the oil and gas sector a minimum of for succeeding 2 years," he said, noting overcapacity of significant helicopters therein trade.

Airbus Helicopters has been hit as oil firms get to scale back prices following a slump within the value of oil, though customers have delayed instead of off orders, per Faury.
