UK VW whole automobile sales fall once more in January as market grows

Sales of Volkswagen-branded (VOWG_p.DE) cars in kingdom fell for the fourth consecutive month during a row in January, business information showed on weekday, despite the market growing nearly three p.c.

VW sales fell thirteen.9 p.c year-on-year in January, following on from drops in Gregorian calendar month, Nov and Dec, when the firm admitted to cheating U.S. diesel emissions tests, prompting the most important ever scandal for the German auto maker.

Sales of Volkswagen Group's Seat models fell twenty four.6 percent, Skoda born a pair of.4 p.c and there was a modest rise in registrations of Audi models of one.4 percent.

Total new automobile registrations rose a pair of.9 p.c to 169,678 cars in January following on from a record high of two.63 million in 2015, boosted by low interest rates, low-cost credit and rising client confidence.
